A Day Without Cheburashka

チェブラーシカのいない日

Published premise · ending unverified

Cheburashka goes out and Gena finds that nothing feels enjoyable without him. Absence makes the value of their shared routine visible. The synopsis does not explain the outing or the reunion.

The episode entries record the published Japanese opening synopses, not a verified scene-by-scene transcript. Where a synopsis withholds an answer or ending, that gap stays explicit. Names translated here are reading aids; the original Japanese title is retained to identify the episode reliably.

Place in the world

Japan develops two distinct forms: the 26-part 2D television series Cheburashka Arere?, beginning in October 2009, and a stop-motion feature released in 2010. The feature revisits the original meeting and adds circus and advice-bureau adventures. Different theatrical and disc editions select different segments, so a new package is not automatically a new story.

TV Tokyo announced the series for 7 October 2009 in its Norisuta programme. These 26 short drawn episodes make ordinary days their subject: shopping, reading, play, worry and reassurance. Gena, Cheburashka, Galya, Chandr, Shapoklyak and Lariska share a small social world. This is a separate Japanese adaptation, not 26 missing Soviet puppet films.
