Story through the endingIn this six-minute 2019 short, the characters themselves become actors at Soyuzmultfilm. The move to a new studio provokes an argument: more space and new facilities compete with attachment to the old home and its memories. Gena and Cheburashka have a filming appointment and must follow the move. Objects from their early adventures turn the old building into a living archive.

By the closing scene the characters are performing again: a director gives instructions about makeup, movement and Gena blending into the background. The ending treats continuity as the ability to make new films while remembering the old ones. This studio story is a separate comic frame, not evidence that the ordinary book or Soviet town literally sits inside a film set.
Place in the world
Keep five shelves separate: the books, Soviet puppet films, Japanese adaptations, new Russian animation and live action. Names and images travel between them, but events do not automatically transfer. A crocodile employee, a human grandfather and a bureau founder can be related interpretations without sharing a single life.
